John O’Neill

Partner, General Counsel and Compliance Officer
John O’Neill is a Partner and General Counsel of Yacktman Asset Management. He joined the firm in 2022. Before joining Yacktman, Mr. O’Neill served as a Senior Principal Consultant with ACA Compliance Group (“ACA”). Prior to this role at ACA, Mr. O’Neill was a Director and Senior Counsel at Affiliated Managers, Inc. (“AMG”), where he provided legal and compliance services to the investment advisory affiliates of AMG. Preceding this position, Mr. O’Neill worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP (“Deloitte”) where he served in Deloitte’s investment management regulatory consulting practice. Mr. O’Neill also practiced litigation in Boston for several years. Mr. O’Neill received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
